Earth
Balloon
Date: Friday, September 25th
Grades: K-5
This program provides a new perspective of our earth that helps students to
understand their place in it. Students enter a large inflatable globe and
see mountains, rivers, deserts, rain forests and oceans. This program enhances
their Social Studies curriculum.

Author of the Scooby-Doo books

James
Gelsey is the author of the Scooby–Doo! Mysteries chapter books. He regularly
visits schools across the country. His "WRITE NOW!" Creative Writing Programs inspire students
to use their imaginations as they unravel the mysteries of the creative writing
process.

Craig Collis - The Magic of
Mathematics

Grades: K-2 period 1
Because
of Craig’s unique background in performing and math, he is able to present
unique assembly programs that are both fun and educationally enriching. All the
programs use magic, music, comedy and audience participation to bring
mathematics to life.
The
Shakespeare Guyz

This duo has created a fast paced performance to engage students in how to
explore Shakespeare, understand his language, get meaning from context and
connect to Shakespeare's works.
Ball
in the House: Totally Vocally
Dates: Monday, March 8th

Grades: Pre K-8
This Boston-based quintet takes a capella to the next stage. There
are 5 men and 5 voices...that's it! The audience often wonders where the
instruments are! Art and music education includes harmony and percussion.

Living Voices – Journey from
the Dust

young man experiences the loss of his home, the
Separation of his family, and economic prejudice. This is the story of an
American tragedy and the courage to survive.

Dr.
Greg Olsen was the third private citizen to orbit the earth on the
International Space Station (ISS). His
presentation includes a slide show with live footage and time for discussion.
He has an underlying message of perseverance and not giving up on your dreams.
Holocaust Survivor

Grade: 8
A speaker from the Center of Holocaust Studies at Brookdale College annually
visits our 8th grade students. A survivor will speak about their experiences
and memories of WWII. This program enriches the Social Studies curriculum.
